We really enjoyed our two-night at the Pittsburgh Renaissance. The hotel is along to Allegheny River. From our room you could see the river as well as the Pirates' baseball stadium PNC Park across the river. In fact, you could see home plate from our view on the 8th floor. This is a classically-designed hotel, but it's up to date... more

We live in the Pittsburgh area and booked a night at the Renaissance Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As natives we know that this is really the most elegant hotel in town, and it's right in the middle of the theater district, which gave us the opportunity to see a show as well. Service at the hotel is friendly... more

I heard the story recently of an executive at a major Pittsburgh-based company who described this hotel as the only decent place to stay in Pittsburgh. I don't know if that is true, as is this is the only place I stay when I come to Pittsburgh and thus I don't have a basis for comparison, but I agree that... more

I have stayed in a number of nice hotels in Pittsbugh but this is, without question, the best hotel in the city. Of course, that comes with a price, but if you are willing to spend a little more, it is worth it. I stayed in the "Corner Executive King Room", which has windows that span two walls and give... more

After reading the reviews on this site we booked a long weekend at the Renaissance from Priceline at just $69 per night. We asked upon check in for a king room and were given no problems and received a room on the 7th floor with a water view. The room was above average in size and the high ceilings gave... more

Wow! I got this hotel on Priceline (4 star, downtown Pittsburgh) for less than $100. The hotel is fantastic and the location is great. The took my Marriot rewards number when I checked in and offered me a key to the concierge level (complimentary hors d'ouvers, desserts, and breakfast.) We were also given free passed to the Bally health club... more

After reading reviews here and being able to book a price of $188 through Marriott website I decided to stay here for the night after Groundhog Day. Great location- 15 min walk to Warhol Museum, 5 min to Pirates, about 30 min walk to Penguin hockey. Restaurants close by and theaters right there. Awesome looking building with nice views. Staff... more

My wife and I arrived on Fri. night for a weekend of exploring Pittsburgh. We parked across the street as was suggested by other travellers. It is reasonable,$5, but does not allow come and go priveleges. So, across the street we went to check in and enjoyed the courteous doormen and great service at registration. We were pleasantly surprised by... more
