We went up to Pittsburgh to meet up with a friend: it was about a half-way point between where we live. The Renaissance seems like the best deal in Pittsburgh, by far. The hotel was in an older, gorgeous building. The lobby was stunning and our room was massive and incredibly comfortable (a huge bathroom too!). We couldn't have asked... more

It's a nice hotel but this time around the bathroom was very dirty, maybe housekeeping was just slacking off. The location of the hotel is very convenient and easy to reach. Apart from dirty bathroom, I had a pleasant stay. more

When we walked into the lobby for the first time the grand staircase was breathtaking. The old architecture was beautiful. We got into the room quicker that we thought about 12:30 PM The employees were very cordial, helped out if we needed anything, and was always available, We had a King size bed and it was very comfortable. Had plenty... more

Very impressed with our stay. Got a good room rate via Priceline and there were no major issues. Check in clerk was superb, very helpful and gave us a nice King room with partial river view. Had to wait 30 minutes for the room to be ready and clerk gave us a complimentary drink at the bar due to the... more

Jeez. An absolutely beautiful hotel, it's just too bad the staff sucks. I booked on Priceline and when my room did not have two beds, I was subjected to a half an hour lecture about how I should not book through Priceline, and how the hotel does not like when guests book through Priceline. They were condescending and made me... more

Stayed at the Renaissance in June 2008 for a 48 hr. getaway with our 3 yr. old son. The pros: Entered the city through the tunnels- what an amazing view! Room was very clean, beds and linens for comfy, loved the high ceilings and spacious bathrooms. Not a good view at all from our room, but we didn't mind. I... more

We really enjoyed our two-night at the Pittsburgh Renaissance. The hotel is along to Allegheny River. From our room you could see the river as well as the Pirates' baseball stadium PNC Park across the river. In fact, you could see home plate from our view on the 8th floor. This is a classically-designed hotel, but it's up to date... more

We live in the Pittsburgh area and booked a night at the Renaissance Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As natives we know that this is really the most elegant hotel in town, and it's right in the middle of the theater district, which gave us the opportunity to see a show as well. Service at the hotel is friendly... more
