We stayed for one night in August 08. The owner was very pleasant and the room perfectly adequate. Very clean room and ensuite. Perfectly placed in town within walking distance of all pubs and amenities. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of fresh fruits and then a lovely fry up. Perfect. more

We stayed for 2 nights in September 2007 while we were in the area for our friends' wedding. This is a great hotel - comfortable quiet rooms with en suite bathrooms, very clean, and right in the town centre just a short walk from the station. What a great little hotel - very friendly, nice well-appointed rooms, and - I'm really not exaggerating - a breakfast to shame any 5-star hotel - exquisite English breakfast cooked to order, fresh fruit, fresh bread, ground coffee etc. Blueberries in February!? For £35 a night!? I was with an opera company and they even accommodated our unusual eating hours... more
