We stayed at the executive suite recently. The decor was superb, very posh and swanky! We loved the overall comfort and style. Great furnishings, although I would have loved to have a safety deposit box. The staff were great, very friendly, helpful and accomodating. We only stayed one night to attend a wedding nearby. They helped us with taxi/transport to... more

We held our wedding here and were totally delighted by every aspect of the hotel, service and overall package. It is a beautiful hotel - small and understated but extremely classy and the service is quite simply excellent. All our guests - many of whom stayed at the hotel - were bowled over by the setting overall, the beautiful gardens,... more

I just cant believe what i have read about the bridge in prestbury. I think that these critics are very harsh. For one the food there is loveley, yes the menu may be a little out dated, but it is all cooked to a high standard. the service is second to non, with veg being served by silver service and... more

We stayed in the Bridge Hotel for a weekend in Novemeber 2007 while attending a wedding there. From outside it appears quaint and old worldish and the reception area was very welcoming with a blazing fire, some comfy seating and a large selection of newspapers. We were just handed a key with nobody to take our bags to our room-... more

I've stayed there several times with my wife. The village of Prestbury is right out of the history books, but next time I will stay somewhere else. The hotel staff was not the best and walking through the restaurant with your bags while there is a party going on, which seems to be very night, really stinks because no one... more

I took a party of ten here to celebrate my Parents birthdays. The table was for 8pm we did not recieve our main courses until 9.50pm. When we recieved it it was cold and overcooked. The "new" potatoes were from a tin, and the "mash" potato was 'Smash' potato. My steak was over cooked and burnt around the edges and served... more

My wife and I visited The Bridge Hotel for dinner for the very first time last week on the strong recommendation of many of our friends. We both found it very difficult to choose a meal as the menu was so extensive, in the end my wife chose the brie & cranberry tartlet followed by dover sole(presented & filleted at... more

stayed at this hotel a few times. Few do's and don'ts. Do make sure you book a double, even if you're on your own. The single rooms are small and pokey. Do make sure you are staying in the newly built area at the back of the hotel. The older rooms are stale and can get noisy, as they are... more

We went for dinner to this "Prestbury institution" on Friday 26th August and I can confidently say that this was the worst meal I have had in a restaurant in at least 10 years of regular dining. As someone who has been in hospitality for over 15 years, both front and rear of house, I was amazed at the lack... more
