We were greeted by two incredibly friendly and helpful staff members upon arrival, thoroughly enjoyed our one bedroom suite in a historic building, loved rocking in the chairs on the balcony and had a fantastic breakfast. Horrible. I actually didnt bother to book a room after speaking with their reservation line. They said they charge an extra $10 per person in the room. I told them the only other person in the room would be our 8-MONTH old infant. If you can believe this, they said I WOULD HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA $10 a night... more

We have traveled extensively and this is by far the worst breakfast we have encounter. The breakfast is better at very inexpensive motels. Housekeeping was untimely; normally late in the afternoon. Parking was inadequate meaning they have more guests than spaces. You are forced to park in paid parking and then you have to pay $5 to park. On weekends... more

Rather than a grand old place, this hotel is a group of well-kept buildings very close to the historic district. It is was enjoyable walking around the old neighborhoods and down along the Riverwalk. Very noisy. Hundreds of frogs were in the fountain....and were courting! The airconditioning units in the next building were all that we could hear....when they were not drowned out by the frogs. more
