We have recently returned from Safari and our first stay was 2 nights at Gibbs Farm. The location and whole experience exceeded our expectations which were high to start with. We stayed in one of the new cottages which was exactly as described on the website, very spacious with wonderful views across the coffee plantation. The food was excellent and... more

Stayed at Gibbs farm in early August. Had expected to be staying elsewhere, but due to a mistake by Virgin, we were taken to Gibbs Farm and it was the best mistake ever as we had a brilliant 2 night stay. We stayed in 2 standard rooms which were very comfortable and clean. The most superb coffee was delivered to... more

Gibb's is a good place to break a safari - nice bath, comfy bed and great food. Only downside was slip- ups in management. Tea ordered - not delivered, Guide booked - turned up 40 mins late (after a couple of phone calls) Talking to others about these slip-ups we were not the only ones. more

We had two nights at Gibbs Farm as part of a safari in the Sernegeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire with Expert Africa. On our way there from the Serengeti we visited Olduvai Gorge which is worth the detour, if only for the spectacular views. At Gibbs we found we had been upgraded to a garden cottage room which was beautiful. It... more

Great spot and wonderful food. Lunch is much bett ter than most of what the "big" lodges (Sopa, Serena) serve; dinner was good too, but not on the same par as lunch. We stayed February 2008 in cottage "B". While there we learned that the motel-like rooms will all be replaced with cottages by 2009. The cottages are great (outdoor... more

While on safari in Tanzania, my husband and I visited Gibb's Farm for a tour of their organic gardens and a delicious lunch. (We did not stay at the property.) What a lovely place! We were met by an English-speaking guide, who escorted us thru the gardens (8 acres of veggies and 35 acres of coffee gardens compose Gibb's Farm,... more

I have been to Gibbs Farm twice in the last year and I can keep on coming back year after year. It is a beautiful farm set up in the hills surrounded by coffee plantations (Gibbs Farm coffee is great!). The cottages are spectacular and all their food is from the farm and really delicious. We visited the primary school... more

We were only at Gibbs Farm one night in the middle of our guided safari in Northern Tanzania. The accommodations: The cottage was quite large. The decor was sweet, and it was very comfortable. The large bathroom offers an inside shower and bathtub plus the room featured it's own outdoor shower - novel and tempting but the mosquitoes lurking around... more

We had three nights at Gibb's Farm. Best food we got on our whole 3 weeks in Tanzania! Grounds are lovely, take a walk through the veg. garden...it is amazing! Rooms are pretty dark and cold. Very limited hot water the whole three nights we were there. Washed clothes in the sink and nothing dried...cold, damp weather when we were... more
