The one good thing is that the room was clean and the furnishings seemed fairly new. Our main complaint with this motel was that IT IS WAAAAY TOOO NOISY!!! We had asked for the quietest room possible. We were put in a room on the right side (as you face the motel) -- as we found out during the night,... more
I generally fly to Reno at night and need a place to sleep for a few hours before pressing on to my hometown in the Sierras. La Quinta fits the bill nicely. It's inexpensive and close to the airport. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a free shuttle to/from the airport if you need it, and free parking for... more
We were on a tight budget and used tripadvisor.com to choose a moderately priced motel in Reno that had good reviews. It worked for us! The room was clean, renovated and roomy. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not hear any outdoor noise during the night and felt safe staying there. My daughter and I, a friend and... more
I stayed at this La Quinta Inn for one night in July 2007. I had spent several days in Virginia City and decided to head down the mountain to be closer to the airport the night before my early morning flight. Rate was OK for a Saturday night. Check in was very efficient. Staffer none too friendly but efficient. I... more
My husband and I go to Reno, NV (our favorite area) for his bowling tournment every three years. We also use this time as our vacation time. The first year we stayed at a resort hotel right in the middle of all the action downtown. it was ok, but our room didn't have a coffee maker. You had to actually... more
After our vac trip down to South Lake Tahoe we chose this La Quinta to move to the night before our early flight out as it's within two blocks of the airport. After reading a couple of the reviews from 2004 we were a little concerned about the quality... sounded seedy. But we were pleasantly surprised to see that it... more
Why anyone would stay at this La Quinta amazes me. I stay at LQs all the time and this one is the worst ever. It is located near the airport, but also next to the freeway, with 24 hr. road noise. My parents should have listened to me and stayed at the Reno Hilton, which is just as close to... more
La Quinta is a nice option if you are not interested in the gambling scene. I highly recommend it for business travelers that just want a reasonable price, clean room, friendly staff and no distractions. It is also nice not to have to walk what seems like a half a mile or so from your car to your room after... more
Yet another example of La Quinta inconsistency, which is unacceptable in any chain operation. A shabby old pile located in the middle of nowhere and overpriced at anything above $25 a night. Remember where you are. This is gambler-hungry Reno. You can do better. more
