Some of the negative reviews for this hotel are extremely misleading. The Shoreline Inn is a wonderful hotel in some small need of updating and renovation. The lobby, rooms, and amenities are on par with a four-star hotel. One or two members of the staff were a bit churlish, but considering the hotel is facing foreclosure, they can hardly be... more

I had traveled up to Muskegon for a wedding and decided to stay at this hotel because it looked nice on the website. When we arrived the hotel looked fairly nice from the outside. The only thing we noticed was how dark the area was and the only lights around the hotel was the sign that said Shoreline Inn. The... more

Stayed at The Shoreline Inn on July 18-19 2008 for Muskegon Bike Time. Was located only a block or two off the main strip (steel horse alley). The hotel is beautiful inside. Lots of antiques. The rooms are a little small but very well taken care of. We had no issues at all like some of the reviewers had. This... more

Nothing but problems. We booked the hotel stay directly and confirmed with a credit card. They had no record of our reservation when we showed up. They did have a room available which was dated and dirty. After we checked out, the hotel charged us twice- once for our stay, and once for a "no show". I contacted the manager... more

Stayed overnight on the 4th of July weekend. The location was good, right on a little marina area, and close to the Summer Celebration grounds. Had a room on the 8th floor overlooking the city (not the water). The room was fine, the bathroom was fine, the climate controls worked well, etc... The breakfast was a little lean on choices,... more

We stayed at the Shoreline Inn with a dance group. I will never stay at this hotel again. We had problems with our A/C unit in the room for 2 days and the owners (Susan & John)of the Hotel didn't care and would not discount our room. The Breakfast was the worse. The breakfast room was so hot (80) and... more

My fiance and I decided we wanted to get away for the weekend for something different. I had wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn, Muskegon-Harbor however we were a bit shy of turning 21, so the lady at the front desk mentioned that there was a hotel behind them where you could be 18. We were still excited and... more

We have stayed at this hotel twice and been sorely disappointed each time. During our first stay, we had a corner room with a hot tub and fireplace. There were not enough towels in the room to accomadate the hot tub and the shower. We called down around 9 pm for more towels. The lady who answered the call said... more

Thank You, we had a wonderful time. My family came in from out of town to spend time with my son who was celebrating his birhtday. We all had a great time, thanks for the hospitality, and we will be back! more

An impressive hotel on their website.... we thought we would have a wonderful anniversary celebration. The building was beautiful as we approached along the streets of industrial Muskegon. As we pulled into "Terrace Point" the beautiful facade started to fade. The grounds were very unkept/full of weeds and thus began a feeling of dread. We walked in to the lobby... more
