Stayed here for 2 nights at a waterhole chalet/rondavel as part of a group tour. Since the tour price was all-inclusive, I can't comment on the price of the resort, but I can imagine that NWR could charge pretty much whatever they felt like and get it, since overall, given the proximity of the Okaukuejo waterhole (a hop, skip and... more

I really enjoyed my stay at Okaukuejo. We stayed in a chalet by the watering hole, and it's great to sit there at night with your camera and see all the animals come to drink. The 2-person chalet is very nice, clean - bed is very comfortable (2 twins), bathroom/shower is modern. Everything is nicely done. The restaurant is decent.... more

We booked into 2 rest camps into Etosha. Okaukuejo & Halali (see seperate review for Halali). The refurbishment of the whole rest camp is stunning and we had a waterhole chalet, which was 20m from the waterhole. The chalets themselves are 5-star and wonderfully appointed. Tasteful furnishing, lovely bedding , comfortable lounge area in front and private outside seating area... more

We stayed in all three of the NWR resorts in Etosha. This was the one we liked most - but it is still lacking a lot Booking was difficult with NWR. First sent an email. No response. Then used the booking form on the NWR website. No response. Finally called a week before the trip. Found out that they are... more

This was our favorite NWR facility in Etosha. I have written reviews of the other 2 camps. I must comment though that while typing this review I went to the NWR web site and noticed that they now have a rate sheet listed. Prices have definitely increased since I booked in Jan. '07 for our October visit. However even after... more

We enjoyed staying at Okaukeujo. The animals and birdlife were absolutley awesome. The renovated rooms with aircon and fridge were great. We particularly enjoyed the Buffet Braai which we had on our first night. Although it is pricey to enjoy the waterhole you HAVE to stay in the park ........... When we were there there was a total cross section... more

This is the third time we have been to Etosha and as always the game viewing is wonderful. We find it easy to drive ourselves in Namibia. We book direct with Namibia Wild Life Resorts and hire a 4x4 in Windhoek. We had difficulty booking this time because NWR office said they had allocated all the double rooms to the... more

Had 2 nights at Okaukuejo (our second visit) and I have to say the refurbished rooms are a huge improvement, although this has made the nightly rate rise quite signifcantly too. On this occassion, due to the price increase we stayed in a small chalet room, which was adequate, albeit compact and bijou ! Decor is now up to date... more

This was the first of two stops we made inside Etosha National Park. Extensive construction work was in progress at the time. Despite this, I found the accommodation OK, if a bit gloomy. The waterhole was excellent and the camp made a good base for trips to other wildlife viewing areas in the western part of the park. However, it... more

We stayed at the Okaukuejo Rest Camp for one night in October 2007. We were lucky that we ended up in one of the enormous rooms (it had two bedrooms, two shower rooms, a kitchen and lounge area). The accommodation was clean and obviously spacious, with plenty of socket points for recharging batteries and even had a special socket which... more
