we have stayed here a few times in the past, but our last visit...was just that...our last! my husband went to take a shower in the morning and the handle snapped off in his hand...it was obvious it was old and in need of replacement....i brought it down to the front desk, and they sent a crew up to repair... more

From the outside, this looks like a charming turn of the century castle. The lobby is beautiful with fresh cut flowers and the staff is kind and helpful. Unfortunately, that is the best I can say about Jumer's. It was taken over by Radisson about 3.5 years ago. The locals, however, still refer to it as Jumer's. Working in the... more

I have been staying at this hotel on business for almost a year. It seems that with each passing week the hotel gets dirtier and the staff ruder. When I checked in this week there was actually a McDonald's wrapper wadded up in the corner of the room. Did they really expect me to believe that the room had been... more

We had the opportunity to attend March Madness, and had no accomodations. At the last moment we found a room had opened up that Friday morning for one overnight stay. The room was a ground floor near the office and quite quiet. The room had been renovated and included the adjustable numbers bed. Overall, the staff was helpful, restaurant had... more

For those not in the know, the Jumer Inn, now run by Radisson, was apparently created by an eccentric German entrepreneur. So, as you can imagine, the exterior and interior decor is very Germanic. I would highly recommend the Jumer Hotel. My room was fresh and clean, though the bathroom was a bit small. My window opened onto a second... more

When I booked a room online from some hotel I had never heard of BECAUSE it was such a reasonable price and close to the Civic Center, I expected something to the quality of a Super 8. When I arrived in Peoria for the first time I was worried because the town has a sort of "industrial" look to it.... more

Room was not at all worth the price...and I was told it was the absolute best suite in the whole hotel. Holes in the walls, wind blowing throught the separated stained glass windows(that open with no locks or screens in them), no clock, no drawers for clothes...you had to go down stairs to the front door to the closet for... more

What a great time we had on our overnight stay. The food in the resturant was great we ate there for dinner and breakfast. Try the new york strip steak for dinner! The only concern we had was the shower did not drain very well. Room are very romantic and well kept. We were there on Friday March 5th departed... more

My wife and I stayed Feb.13 and 14. The room was filthy. We had an ice bucket with standing water in it. The beds did not have fitted sheets on them. The blankets were wore out. The bathroom wallpaper was literally hanging off the walls. The shower was so dirty we waited to shower at home. There were other peoples snacks... more

My wife and I stayed at the Castle Lodge very recently. Having grown up in Central Illinois, Jumers' Castle Lodges have long had a highly rated name. Unfortunately, the hotel in Peoria is due for some maintenance. The bed was terrible. A worn blanket and bed spread with cigarette holes were a precursor to a worn out mattress. The sheet... more
