I stayed here a few years back and the hotel was run down and the hotel guests all looked like suspects on "americas most wanted". All that has changed. The hotel was spotless and the service was great. I will have to admit the food in the restaurant was just average. more

We stayed at htis hotel for a Tattoo convention and were suppose to get convention rates but were actually charged $30 more a night than anyone else. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I live in the Chicago area and stayed at this hotel during a sales conference. There were enough amenities inside the hotel so we didn't have to face the bitter cold for the entire weekend. Beautiful place to stay. I hope we continue to have our conferences there. more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Matteson May 5-7 2006. This hotel was finishing up on renovations and the hotel looked fantastic. Everything was clean and brand new. This hotel is inside a business complex and resembles an office building. There is a bar and restaurant in the commons area. If you ask for a non-smoking room, you get one, but the adjacent rooms are not non-smoking and smoke entered my room. I stuffed a towel under the door to minimize it, but with little success. Hotel is looking a little worn. Public areas are clean but well used. Security door into hotel, marked as key needed, was broken and open to anyone. Elevator is key card required.
