What a great experience! This was our first time using Hotwire, and first time staying in downtown Chicago...and both turned out wonderful. We couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel. We arrived by train in the morning and hoped the hotel would allow us to check in early. They were very accomodating, allowing us into a room immediately, at... more

We stayed one night at the Embassy Suites near the lake and thought it was a great hotel. The interior atrium may be an architectural cliche but I still think it gives the hotel an amazing sense of openness and drama. Our room overlooked the lake and we loved the view, although a tall building partially blocked the view. The... more

My wife and 18 month old stayed at the lakefront from April 8-13. It was our first stay in Chicago so I don't have other hotels in Chicago to use as a comparison but to me it was just average at best. The atrium is a really bad concept if you ask me because sound really travels through that hotel...we... more

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Very well kept and quiet. After recent renovation everything seemed new. Service was good. Parking is expensive but valet service was very prompt. Breakfast was typical buffet. Be advised that the pool is quite small and overun with kids. Not a good pool for an adult to enjoy. It would be great if they... more

My 5 daughters and myself stayed at this hotel over Easter break. The location is great. Rooms were clean, view was awesome, staff friendly, breakfast was very good and the cocktail hour in the evening was wonderful. We would definately stay again and the price was right! We shopped the entire time so location was very important as we walked... more

This hotel stay combined the price of a high end luxury property with the haphazard service of a cut-rate hotel. We booked it to get more room and the easy flexible breakfast for kids. We had a lot of troublesome problems right from the start. Our phone didn't work. The sink in our bedroom only ran hot (actually plumbed so... more

My mom and I went to Chicago for a long weekend and this Embassy Suites met our needs - clean, nice location and safe. However, the free breakfast was a nightmare - extremely long lines, completely understaffed, and never enough food/utensils/plates/cups for those in line. After the first two days of the "stress-filled" breakfast experience, we decided to walk across... more

We booked this hotel as part of our family spring break as did many others as it was filled with families on spring break. The primary reasons we picked the hotel were location and amenities. Embassy Suites almost always have included a full breakfast, evening reception, a decent pool and rooms. It was a very good stay and I have... more

We've stayed at 2 Embassy Suites in 2 different cities. I think both have been over-priced for the level of quality. The location of this hotel is excellent and very convenient for tourists and business travelers. The complimentary breakfast was simply satisfactory. The free cocktail hour was nice. However, neither are enough to make up for the over-priced rates. There... more

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Lakefront the weekend of March 8th. It turned out to be a wonderful location and was within easy walking distance to Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue. There is also a trolley stop right on the corner which would be especially nice in the Summer months as the trolley is free and goes to all... more
