We arrived late in the afternoon on a rainy day. We had driven in from Glendive, MT (about 800 mi.) and were ready for a good night's rest. Check-in was effortless and friendly...we had no idea what to expect, but upon entering our suite "Cabin Fever" our jaws dropped and we couldn't contain ourselves. Our daughter had her own bedroom... more

We took a chance on this motel because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. The beds were great and walking distance to the lively downtown and great eating places. Rooms fairly small but comfortable. The motel was full everynight but surprisingly quiet for being on a main road. The only thing I would change is a... more

We are so happy that we stayed here! Very clean, comfortable beds, very large room, we were pleasantly surprised, thinking it would look like an old motel. Motel had recently been updated, if you stay somewheres else in town, I am sure that you will not get a better nights stay than at the Flamingo Motel. more

The other reviews said it already: more like a B&B than a motel. We stayed in the Tuscan room (11) for one night. I kept looking for signs of kitsch, but in fact it was all pretty tasteful, and certainly in good condition, clean and comfortable. There was a little road noise (and there might have been a bar across... more

Our family of 5 took a road trip last year to Glacier/Yellowstone & the Tetons, and spent 1 night at the Flamingo Motel on our way from Spokane to Glacier. We had the 2 bedroom with kitchen and it was perfect for our needs. WE have 3 children so sometimes it can be difficult to find rooms large enough for... more

My friend and I decided to take a girls road trip to Couer d' Alene, Idaho. We drove around trying to find a hotel close to downtown with little luck until we came across the Flamingo Motel. We were very surprised! Not only was it very clean and comfortable, each room had its own theme which made it more fun!... more

Everything about this lovely little retro motel contributed to a wonderful three-day stay. We stayed in Cabin Fever, even though there were only two of us. I'm sure the other rooms were interesting, but I'll probably choose Cabin Fever whenever we go back. The decor, the Magic Fingers feature, the friendly owners...we loved it all. We were given recommendations to... more

Best kept secret in Couer D'Alene. Spent 2 nites for our anniversay.Chilled bottle of wine waiting for us in the room and would have been flowers if I hadn't of pre ordered them myself. Best bang for your buck that we have stayed at. Rooms and property are immaculate and the theme rooms add a nice touch.(Perfect for anniversay as... more

We stayed here the third day of our 11 day motorcycle trip, just for one night. The motel staff (owners) were SO NICE and went out of their way to have our room available when we arrived a few hours early. We stayed in :The Tuscan Garden Room" every room has been decorated differently, no cookie cutter rooms here. The... more

Staying at the Flamingo Motel felt like being in the guest room of a good friend! We had been staying in hotels for 2 1/2 weeks before arriving in Coeur d'Alene, and were tired of hotel rooms. When my seven year old climbed into bed, she said, "Look, real sheets!". Instead of white, institutional sheets, the sheets on our beds... more
