We stayed here for 3 nights on our first visit to Florida and i was not disappointed in any way. I work in the travel industry and sometimes drive my partner mad with my constant busman's holiday about service but on this occassion have nothing negative to say !! Arrived late as our flight was delayed 4 hours and the... more

We spent a couple of nights at the property this past weekend. Valet staff were friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Front Desk staff were always smiling and professional. The hotel is very pretty with clean lines and bright colors. The pool was a bit busy, but was nice to lounge and hear the waterfall feature. On saturday night, they had a... more

As I write, this hotel is rated 23 out of 42 hotels in Sarasota. I can only assume that the 22 above it must be awesome as this is a delightful hotel. We had a spacious refurbished room overlooking the Marina, no problem at all with noise and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. There was a special deal... more

We booked our rooms through hotwire.com--and then got really worried when we read all of the negative reviews about the ongoing construction. Thankfully, by the time we went in August, it was complete-no signs of construction. The decor is billed as "Floribbean," lots of pink and green! It was clean, and the design was modern-definitely a change of pace from... more

Had a great stay here. Here's why: 1. The decor is great. Brand new TVs, contemporary furniture. Felt like I was on a vacation when I walked into the Kate Spade-ish lobby. 2. Didn't run into even one rude employee. They really delivered a great 'experience' to their customers. Made reservations for us, gave directions, ordered cars, etc. 3. Their... more

This hotel looks nice and has some really nice features. But overall, the place isn't that nice. The biggest problem is the noise. I had 2 seperate rooms, and both rooms constantly sounded like people were dragging furniture. I couldn't really figure it out, but I needed earplugs. The other problem with the place is how they nickel and dime... more

Great location, convenient parking, wonderful food at the Currents restaurant. Close to cafes and not far from St Armands circle, Longboat Key and Siesta Key. Traffic was minimal and drivers were very courteous. You could get away with bring a bicycle with you. My husband and I went for a long weekend. The bed was extremely hard. Rooms are renovated.... more

Newly renovated! Very attractive furnishings. Flat screen tv. Had balcony with chairs and small table to sit outside and watch sunset. Was within walking distance to bay front for the 4th of July fireworks which were fabulous! We went for a 'relaxing' 4th weekend. Now some of the negatives.. there is only one restaurant called Currents which is very expensive.... more

We spent one night in Sarasota on the way back to Orlando from Naples. We fancied a hotel that was slick, new and a little different from the usual Florida accommodation. We chose the Hyatt over the neighbouring Ritz Carlton. It has recently been refurbished (there is no sign of builders there now) and is very fresh and funky, bright... more

Our stay was simply ok. We won't go back. Not terrible, not the worst I've seen, just ho-hum. And not the feeling I wanted for a vacation. For what it offered, it was expensive. Lots of nickel-and-dime stuff that I'd rather not have to deal with. At the end of the trip, we felt squeezed. Don't get me wrong, the... more
