I cannot say enough about this fabulous hotel! It has been totally renovated and they seemed to leave no stone unturned. I got the 1bdrm suite. It has a VERY spacious living room, breakfast bar, refrigerator, stove, microwave, full sink, dishes and silverware. There is a TV in the living room and one in the bedroom (several free premium channels..I... more

This is the second time we stayed at the Hibiscus - and we plan on returning again! While it is on a busy street, once you are inside the property, there are no worries. There are two wonderful on-site property managers, Preston during the day and Lou at night, who are all about the guests' comfort. But the best part... more

I found the hotel to be pretty good. It has a few good restaurants and bars in walking distance and the staff were very helpful. The pathways and outdoor seating area could have done with a sweep/clean but the room was very clean and tidy. I would definately recommend the place and am booking a month in November. more

We travelled to Sarasota over the Easter Break this past March 2008. After settling on the Hibiscus, mainly due to lack of availability, elsewhere, I felt comfortable with my decision. We arrived to the Inn to be told our pre booked room { the townhouse} had a flood and we were being booked into another room. We had booked the... more

After watching the renovations take place last year while we stayed at another hotel that didn't allow pets, we decided to give the Hibiscus Suites a try because they are "pet friendly". Not only did they welcome our beloved pet, they keep doggie bisquits for their four-legged friends! The staff is very efficient, friendly and full of information about what's... more

Second trip to the Hibiscus In and Suites in Sarasota this year. We love the location (near the beaches, restaurants and shopping). Great amenities, continental breakfast, clean, comfortable and a staff that aims to please makes this a destination we will choose over and over again. It's a short distance from downtown Sarasota, so this location gives us proximity to... more

This place was great. It isn't on the beach, but those places were outrageous, and Hibiscus was just 1 1/2 miles from Siesta. The staff knew all the good places to go. We chose to book directly with the hotel, because in the past we used expedia/hotel.com, and never got the bed type we wanted because those "giant travel agents"... more

Everything about this hotel was wonderful! If it were across the beach on the Key it would be absolutely perfect. Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Realistically, it is not within walking distance of the beach though. I can't say enough about the staff! more

They advertise themselves as a small luxury family owned property. Very nice people and very helpful but about as far from luxury as you can get. Everything is sub par and in the heart of a commercial district. I don't think I would chose this hotel again nor recommend it. more

The Hibiscus Suites are ok but not nearly as nice as the hotel’s website would have you believe when they say “the finest all suite lodging near Crescent Beach”. The accommodations are larger than a standard hotel room, having a kitchenette and small living room and the furnishings are nice but the renovation work was very sloppy and does not... more
