Unfortunately, my wife and I did not have the opportunity to stay at the Sanctuary last Friday because somehow, our reservation was canceled by their night auditor. To make things worse, the hotel was sold out and we were without a room. The assistant GM first offered us a "gift card" for one night's stay on a future visit which... more

Last week, my husand and I celebrated our 10th anniverary at the Sanctuary. We could not have asked for a better experience. The Sanctuary enjoys a prime location - 1 block from Lincoln, 1 block from Collins (i.e., noise and crowds), 2 blocks from 17th street beach walk. The concierge and hotel staff were friendly and attentive. The accommodations were... more

We went on a Cruise for our Honeymoon, and wanted to stay in Miami for a bit after. After looking around and checking our budget there was just no way we could stay at the Delano, or other such place - I adjusted the search criteria and found "The Sancutary" Dollar for Dollar this is the same as the Albion.... more

This hotel was absolutly brilliant!! I had previously read reviews on this hotel and was nervous, we spent the first 2 nights of our honeymoon there, so it was important to have that luxury feel! I booked the room through the hotel website which is excellent and informative. I e-mailed the hotel and explained we were coming all the way... more

Very nice, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room (we booked a suite) was very large, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Excellent, helpful and friendly staff. The hotel location is very convenient, very central. more

My wife and I recently completed a three night stay for our 5 year anniversary. By way of background, we typically try to stay in smaller, high end boutique hotels whether traveling for business or pleasure. I would estimate we spend about 40 nights a year in hotels between the two of us. The following is our list of Pros... more

The concept is better than the reality at the Sanctuary, South Beach. Converted from a 1950's style, center-court hotel, the workmanship is excellent. Finishes and furnishings are first rate. The problem is the layout. No bedroom door (these are one bedroom suites) means no privacy. Worse is the bathroom wall of glass. Turn the light on and the entire bedroom... more

This hotel is very nicely accommodated and my mother and I enjoyed our stay for the most part. However, be wary....the pool is only knee-deep...literally. Also, some sights listed this hotel as having a kitchen. It doesn't. Finally, be careful when waking up in the morning and preparing a cup of coffee with the in-room supplies. They charge you for... more

I was searching for a place to celebrate my wife's 30th, so I was looking for a location that could offer several options that would make the experience memorable. After reading several of the Sanctuary reviews I decided to take the leap of faith. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel eventhough the atrium is under construction. The rooms were... more

We stayed here for our 1st anniversary and had a wonderful time. the sanctuary is more like having your own apartment than stayin in a hotel. the staff are there if you really need them but not very chatty or helpful.. also the bar shuts at around 10pm some nights and as it is in the corner of the restaurant... more
