The conversion of this former AmeriSuites hotel is part of Hyatt's attempt to gather in some of the mid-price market. Based on my stay (2 nights) it has a long ways to go. First of all, the fourth floor had a mold issue and was closed to all guests on the second night of my stay. The rooms are very... more

Booked our family of six adults into three adjacent suite rooms. Comfortable, clean rooms with a living room area just perfect for the nightowls The fresh and large continental breakfast with many pastry options or waffles if desired was wonderful and as early risers we watched the sun rise. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions... more

My husband and I stayed here pre-cruise on May 10. We were scheduled to leave on May 11 out of Port Everglades. This hotel is conveniently located approximately five minutes from the port. There is also a free shuttle that is first-come, first-served. They have two different shuttles so if the larger one is needed, they will use that shuttle... more

Great room. I booked this room for a Girls Night Out. Unfortunately there was only one king bed for (4) girls but luckily the sofa bed folds out as well so we were in good shape. Room had a HUGE TV and little fridge and was perfect for our needs. Also in close proximity to downtown Fort Lauderdale so a... more

There are a few reasons that we highly recommend the Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale. 1) Great transportation to/from airport and cruise port. We flew in on a Saturday and took the shuttle to the cruiseport on Sunday. Everything as far as transportation was flawless. It's my understanding that they will also pick you up at the cruiseport...that would be a... more

First room had obviously been a smoking room despite the hotel being non smoking. So we changed rooms and the room was fine, quiet and spacious and beds very comfortable. Location good for local restaurants and shops (Publix across the car park). Missed the breakfast but looked a bit chaotic with plastic plates all over the place. Not enough staff... more

Booked through priceline so only paid $150.00 per night. On Hotels.com the price is $248.00. Hotel was worth the $150 - not the $250! The hotel has been completely renovated and looks great. It's new and modern. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is good. We were able to take a cab to the Ft. Lauderdale beach bars... more

Short distance from the cruise ship to the hotel as we were tired from standing waiting for the shuttle bus to arrive that seems forever. Place is walking distance to many things so food is no problem if you do not have transportation. Outside surrounding/landscape is just okay. Front desk/reception area is kind of small and crowded I felt as... more

I loved the new updated look of the lobby and the rooms. The rooms have just been redone, everything brand new and nice. I paid way too much for my room ($250) but I booked last minute. This place would be great for 100 to 175. The lobby is a little crowded and they need more staff. But you can't... more

We stayed there 1 night, pre-cruise , 2 weeks ago. It is now called Hyatt Place. We paid 248 for the room. We checked in Saturday night , 1130. pm. There were no vending machines, no beverage service, no minibar. We were told very coldly we would have to walk 3 blocks down the dark unfamiliar road to a gas... more
