Fellow Travellers, This was our first stop on a 5 hotel stay in California. So there is also the benefit of comparison to 5 other top TA rated places. Overall the Fairmont lives up to it's reputation of a top notch hotel. With the excellent Gold Members membership I was able to upgrade to a suite. Beautiful, roomy and once... more

We stayed here for a wedding in Santa Monica with our two kids. They were more than accommodating with a crib, changing table, diaper genie, baby bath products and also baby bath robe. The staff is extremely friendly and very fast. No complaints at all. more

After staying in Las Vegas (at the MGM) and then onto Downtown L.A (The Standard) I wanted a luxury hotel for my last night in Los Angeles. I got there quite early and they let me leave my bags and I went for lunch. I checked in earlier than the 3pm check in time. The location is good, across from... more

The Fairmont was the first hotel we stayed in after an 11 hour flight to LA, and boy was it a welcome relief. Initially they had not made a correct booking- this happened however at 4/5 of our hotels along our trip so maybe the booking was flawed. In the end we were upgraded to a suite for my wife... more

Stayed five nights at this hotel and had a wonderful time. This was my first visit to Santa Monica and after researching thoroughly for a few weeks, booked the fairmount and was very pleased with the choice. Let me first start by saying that only upon arriving in santa monica did i realise that I had booked the wrong room... more

Once you get past the reality that anywhere decent in Santa Monica will be about $300 a night, you need to decide what is most important to you. For me, it's about the quality of service which is a hallmark of Fairmont Hotels, and the Miramar was no exception. From the moment I walked in I was treated like royalty,... more

Stayed with my wife and 3 kids in July. Very nice and quite convenient location to visit LA, next to the ocean. We stayed in a bungalow located in the garden close to the pool, which was very nice, spacious, and great for the kids. Good service and breakfast. Very good value for money more

Last year I stayed across the road at The Huntley. On a whim I decided on the Fairmont - and I was impressed! My room was on the 4th floor with a balcony overlooking the pool. Ok the room was a bit small but it was luxurious. The beds and bed linen were most comfortable. The staff were very polite... more

This hotel is not worth the money. My room had dangerous electrics: the side lamp did not work and it has green sparks flashing out of the on switch when I switched it on. I reported this to reception and they did nothing. The ceiling light made an intermitent buzzing when it was switched on. The hair drier did not... more

I stayed at the Fairmont Miramar for ten days this summer. We travelled with our two teenage children and had two rooms on the fourth floor with little balconies and a view of the beach and pier. The rooms were not large but (with the balcony) more than adequate. Service in the hotel was extremely good. Better than we had... more
