My boyfriend and I walked in on a Wednesday evening looking for an affordable room for 3 nights. We stayed in the Portofino for two nights and moved to Galvellar for one night. Both rooms are very pretty and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast (which is plentiful) very much and the innkeepers are very courteous. There are bicycles, beach chairs... more

I Booked 3 rooms for one week. All three rooms were lovely and spacious. I read previous reviews about the rooms smelling, so I purchased 3 plug in air freshners. We did not notice any unpleasant odors at all. The beds in all the rooms were extremely comfortable, everyone (ages from 11 years to 68 years) slept very well, we... more

Owner and staff bent over backwards to make us comfortable. The Belle Caruso room felt like a private cottage with its own interior deck and chaise lounge. Every guest gets a bicycle and we jumped on ours right after a sumptuous Mexican-influenced breakfast to see the beach and watch the herons catch fish near the harbor. Lots of photo ops... more

The main problem that I have with this property is that it advertises itself as first class when the reality is that it is not. The rooms are second -rate, the ocean is not visible from the property, the food is so-so, and the noise level caused by the nearby trains screaming in the middle of the night is unreal.... more

When we arrived the innkeeper quickly showed us to our lovely suite. She told us that the wine hour was in the parlor from 5-6pm; however, we needed to leave for our dinner reservations at 5pm. We asked if we could come down earlier. Without hesitation, she graciously offered to serve us whenever we wanted. After we unpacked a few... more

This is my favorite b and b and we've stayed in a lot in Santa Barbara. I have had much more expensive b&B suites that impressed me much less. The Innkeeper has a great eye for details and good taste in food. It is more cosy. It was immaculate. I expected less for such a good price. The staff is... more

My husband and I wanted to get a way for a long weekend and stayed at the lovely old yacht club. The room was beautiful the food prepared was awesome. You could tell time and thought went into the preparation. The staff was just wonderful and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. All in all, we had a wonderful... more

My Fiance and I stayed at the Old Yacht Club this past weekend and it was "OK." The inn is located on a quiet street near the beach, but you do not have an ocean view. Unless you like to walk a lot, downtown is about 2-3 miles away. It is near the railroad tracks, but I didn't hear any... more

I booked from looking at a bed and breakfast website and from looking at pictures of the Inn on the web, but became very nervous about staying at the Inn after reading some of the horrible reviews on here. After staying at the Inn this past weekend, I felt compelled to write this review in response to those earlier reviews.... more

I took my mother for her birthday. I read the reviews on tripadvisor after I had booked the room. I spent a week upset . Upon arrival I realized my concerns had been ridiculous!! It was a lovely room and main room. The breakfasts were wonderful. We were able to walk to the beach and to restaurants. The decor was... more
