We stayed at the Village at Squaw Valley from 8/4/08 to 8/9/08. Check in was quick and staff was courteous. Concierge service was accessible by phone and was rather poor. We payed extra for a room with a mountain view. The room was very clean and well appointed in a typical one bedroom condo style. It included a fireplace and... more

Stayed in a 1-BR condo for two nights during the summer season. The property itself was enjoyable....with a true "village" feel. Nice to have easy access to shops and restaurants as well as fun entertainment options....arcade, golf, rock climbing, etc. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING at this property. Tahoe doesn't generally get extreme summer temperatures, but even with an outside... more

Thank you for your comments. Our first suites opened for rent between 2002 and 2004 and some of the furnishings are ready to be replaced. We have already begun an extensive remodel of our guestrooms. Most of the work is done off-site so our guests are not inconvenienced by any work. Coffee is provided on the first day and can...

After reading a mix of reviews, I was so pleased with the Lodge! The room was just perfect - we actually had a VERY comfortable bed and the kitchen, living area and bathroom were beautiful & immaculate. My daughter even said the sleeper sofa was comfortable. We really enjoyed the location - it is in a beautiful valley, perfect for... more

We stayed at the Village for the 4th of July weekend. The main reason we choose the site is because everything else was booked. We were really impresed with the rooms, the layout, and how many things there were to do right outside your door. We had a 1 bedroom condo and it was great. The condo was updated, and... more

We had the one bedroom condo with den and one and a half bath. The accomadations are very nice and the staff was friendly. However we would not stay there again. As mentioned by previous reviewers noise is a real problem here and we were there on a weekend that was underbooked. Very few people in the area and still... more

Stayed in a one bed condo for 5 nights in April. Condo was very nice - spacious, clean, functional, well looked after, very close to skiing, but I felt it was very very expensive. Have stayed in other condos just as nice for half the price elsewhere in the US. The village itslef is very pleasant although limited in choice... more

My Husband & I stayed here for a 3 night ski trip. We had a wonderful time here the accommodation was great - 1 BR apartment, they were furnished very tastefully with a small balcony and fire place. The apartments are situated above the shops through out the village so your outlook will vary depending on where your situated. We... more

The Village a Squaw Valley is a new, modern condo/hotel development consisting of many buildings with an assortment of restaurants and shops at the ground level and condos on the 2nd-4th floors. The condo vary from studios up to two bedroom units, we stayed in a smaller studio which included a small but modern, stylish & well-equipped kitchen. Another nice... more

We stayed at Village at Squaw for a 3 day ski weekend. We had a 2 bedroom unit. It was a long walk to ski school and to the gondola and funitel, when compared to places like Beaver Creek. The worst was the snow plowing that went on from 12 midnight -2 am and then from 4 am -6 am,... more

Thank you for your comments. Snow removal is part of the mountain environment and the day skier parking area needs to be cleared out overnight for the next day. We modified the snow removal operations to reduce the amount of background noise produced by the snow removal machinery. Snow removal on our property does not begin until 6AM to clear...

I have stayed at the Village every other year since it first opened in 2004, so this is my third stay (Feb 2008). While the first two stays were marvelous, it is obvious that management company Intrawest is either in economic trouble or has decided to take its customer base for granted. As the previous reviewer wrote, service really sucks... more
