My huband, two kids and my Mom stayed here. Staff were excellent at check in/out. Very pretty place. Rooms colors are a bit outdated but it was quiet, very clean. For a 1 star: Right off 5, 1 1/2 miles from beach. Rooms were clean and spacious. Plenty of room for 2 adults/2 kids in a room. The A/C worked great. Everything looked like it had been recently renovated. They had an excellent breakfast: waffles, cereal, fresh milk, juice. Staff was helpful and friendly. We would stay again. more

This is definitely not the hotel you would want to stay in while in California. My feet would turn filthy and black when I walked on the floors for any period of time because they were so dirty. I stayed here july 4th for 3 nights the place looks new and was very clean. the pool was great. Cesar at the front desk was very nice. This place is very close to the beach which my kids loved.i will stay here again more

Stayed July 21 & 22, 2006. The place was aweful!!!!! The carpets were disgusting...decided to just keep my shoes on all the time! The staff (Judah) was horribly rude and very unhelpful. Oceanside is a beautiful place to stay, but the hotel was not so beautiful. I would wake up to huge spiders and bugs staring at me and showering with me. The air did not work just the heat and the patio door would not open because of it being broken. There was mildew on the walls and in the bathroom.... more

Usually like Best Westerns. Came here looking for a base while we did Sea World and Tijuana. Although the room was clean with a lovely balcony, it was not worth $119 + tax per night for 2 nights. Also, staff were incredibly unhelpful. If coming to San Diego, look around. more
