I booked the Hilton on a trip to Oakland for a party. The neighborhood around the airport is shady, but they have good security and the hotel felt safe. I would recommend staying on the upper floors. They do charge for everything...and they offer no help or assistance for someone on an extended stay. 5$ a day for a fridge? and 10$ a day for internet access??..PLEASE!!!....and no wireless unless you pay for that also..ridiculous...I will make sure my company pulls as much business from this hotel as possible..for a 1 night stay this is your place...the... more

nice staff. the hotel rooms have nice new beds, but everything else must be from 1950. yellow aged tubs, yellow aged toilets, old carpet. i can't believe it is a hilton. they also charge for everything, internet, parking, breakfast, fax. nice things are the staff, proximity to OAK, and ping pong/pool room. more
