We stayed one night at this hotel while visiting nearby colleges. The Hotel Claremont is a dive. The rooms are old and dirty, kicked in hole on the bathroom door, uncomfortable beds - overall very well worn rooms. This place shows it age!! Rooms a very run down and lots of bugs. Staff is so so, no one really goes out of there way to assist you with anything, nor is staff very knowledgeable about local business. You can feel safe as the local police patrol through property on a regular bases and question guest. Room doors don't... more

I was very impressed with the two tennis pros I saw, next time I am in town I will sign up for some lessons. Since 1998, I have stayed at this hotel twice a year, because it hosts our club's event. Our club is thinking of making some changes, however. For $90 a night, you get an aging room in which the ceiling is sagging, the wallpaper is peeling off the wall, and you might find a bullet hole in the wall right next... more

We were surprised how inexpensive this hotel was. We were even more surprised at the lovely room, amenities, pool, and grounds. Not sure if use of the tennis courts were included but might have been.
