This place was the size of a shoebox. Tiny, tiny, tiny. I realize that what one gets for their money has diminished of late but for $200/night...pathetic. The hotel was magnificent we have never experienced such incredible service before. The restaurants, shopping, and the beach are all in walking distance what more could you ask for. When our favorite Carmel inn, The Vagabond House, was not available, they suggested Monte Verde Inn. The web site isn't ready and the few reviews were mixed. the Monteverde Inn is in a terrific location. A couple blocks from the beach and right in town. There were pro’s and con’s with our stay. Pro’s 1. Dog friendly.
