My wife and I stayed here for two nights recently, in some trepidation based on previous reviews but this place is really fine! Maybe it has been refurbished since some previous comments but having stayed in 5 star luxury hotels it is really refreshing to have a place that is simple, clean, comfortable and on the edge of town. If... more

We got a great rate on expedia ($75 US/night for a triple incl breakfast)...so I really can't complain too much. The lobby area is very nice and updated and the breakfast buffet was quite good. The rooms are outdated and tired. The bathroom was in serious need of repair. The hotel's location is ok, without traffic it's about 15 minutes... more

This hotel is tired and dirty - stained bed clothes, stained table coverings, chipped paintwork, marked bath..the list could go one...staff do the minimum and are certainly not up to the standards of the rest of Argentina where we have met some of the warmest and most helpful people in our 3 weeks here. We are currently sitting in the... more

Stayed at the Esturion for several days in December 2006. The lobby and bar area were very pleasant. The room was shabby, it looked as if it had not be upgraded for some years. It certainly had not seen a paint brush for some time. The staff at reception had a habit of being far too busy to tend to... more

We stayed at the Esturion as part of a group visiting Argentina and Uruguay on a 2 week tour. It was better than most, and we loved relaxing in the pool and at the bar after the vigorous day at the Falls. There was some humidity, but what can you expect next to a jungle, its the subtropics, after all.... more

we stayed here for 3 nights (pre paid so we couldn´t leave...) dec 9-11 and it was BAD. The lobby/dining area looks nice and relatively contemporary and clean .... but the rooms are GROSS - dirty, worn, tired, beaten up. The grout was brown and cracking. The paint was cracking and stained. the bathroom was SMALL and the tub was... more

Pre-booked after looking at website - where it looks good! But I have nothing good to say about the place. We thought the place was tired in every respect. The rooms were dirty, the staff were indifferent and discourteous. We arrived hot and sticky after non too easy trip from Montevideo, to be greeted by a surly check-in clerk who... more

This hotel was one of the worst experiences of my life. Not only was the staff (particularly a front desk guy) disagreeable and not helpful (ex. when we requested if he could make reservations for us in one restaurant, he answered that we had phones in our rooms and we could make the reservation from there - by the way,... more

We stayed two nights at the Esturion. It seemed to be geared primarily to coach parties, which I guess is the nature of Iguazu - High turnover, short stays. That said, they managed to handle the parties and the smaller groups very adequately in the hotel restaurant by using opposite ends. Our room was very comfortable, the staff very helpful... more

Got a suite located on the bottom-most floor containing a room with 3 twin beds plus 1 double bed in a separate room and it felt like being in the basement of a bomb shelter that has sliding glass doors. Room was musty, humid, & kinda creepy. I'm sure the other remodeled rooms were nice but the room we stayed... more
