Hotel is on a quiet, tree-lined street in Recoleta area, near a pleasant park as well as shops and restaurants, and perhaps a 20-minute walk to the Recoleta cemetery (where Eva Peron is buried and where artisans sell their wares on weekends). Room was not real large, but perfectly adequate, with a modern feel (including new wooden floors) and queen-sized... more

I stayed at this hotel from March 2, 08 until March 6th. I am a travel agent and spend a great deal of time in hotels and this hotel was a gem in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. It was recommended to me by a friend who lives in Uroguay and she had stayed there. The reception desk was very helpful... more

We spent 3 nights here in December 2007. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and spacious. Breakfast which was included in the room rate was very good; lots of choices and pleasant breakfast room. We had dinner one night in the restaurant on premises and it was very good also. Staff were helpful professionals. Location in the Recoleta district was... more

I stayed at the Bel Air Hotel in Buenos Aires. Any association with the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles you may forget right now. At first we were thrilled with having a clean, newly refurbished hotel in the Recoleta area that was affordable. Then we found out that three people had called and left messages with the front desk... more

We had the occasion to stay in a hotel in Recoleta district for two separate nights. Disabled access is important to us. Previously visited the hotel to check the accessibilty issues and was immediately a shown room suitable for disabled people - bathroom is a "wet room", ideal for those using a wheelchair. These are superior grade rooms but at... more

Where do I start: 1. Asked for two non-smoking rooms, was put in a stinky smoking one. When asked for change: was told that no rooms were available and suggested to wait until tomorrow. 2. When the towels were not changed in 2 days I called downstairs and was told that they would bring some right away: never happened. So... more

We stayed in this hotel from Sept 30 to October 3rd. The location was wonderful, and the room was quiet, modern and well-kept with comfortable beds, modern bathroom and a useful desk to work on. I can't say enough about the helpful, attentive staff. And a pleasant surprise was the excellent food in the restaurant - so much so that... more

We just came after staying for five days. The hotel is not a luxury hotel, but it is very reasonabily priced and new. The room was basic, but very nice. The bathroom was clean and well equiped. The breakfast was complete and the service was very good. The area of Recoleta is a very nice area to be in the... more

My wife and I had a really great experience in Buenos Aires and at the Bel Air Hotel. The room was very clean and well maintained during our entire visit. The room was located in the back of the hotel with a window on a central courtyard. No view but VERY QUIET. Perfect for resting between excursions out to explore... more

My husband and I just returned from a week's stay at the Bel Air Hotel and would definitely stay there again for a variety of reasons. Perhaps the first is the location, a block away from the Avenida Santa Fe, one of the major shopping streets in Buenos Aires. We were in a beautiful neighborhood, full of lovely shops and... more
