This was my first trip to Buenos Aires. I knew that after 24 hours travelling I would need a place to pamper my soul and bones. I can't imagine a better place for such an undertaking than the Alvear Palace. The hotel is an old-style grand hotel, well kept up and overstaffed (I suspect in part for security) We had a junior suite on the courtyard - no noise at all. The decor is classic French. Just returned from South America. I don't need to add much to the positive reviews about the Alvear Palace Hotel. Our room was large and beautiful (faced the main street on the 4th floor).
