Like a good Thanksgiving... coming back here after our first initial stay proved just as great if not better. The friendly staff we're very attentive and even remembered our "special needs"..... We work like slaves and spoil yourselves once a year on our annual holiday from PE, we went to Hermanus and unfortunate did not spot any whales. The television set was not working and we had a scrolling screen. The room wasn't serviced when we came back at 13h00 (after leaving at 09h30 the morning). What a fantastic find! We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel to any visitor. We will be back! The Hotel was a fantastic find. And best location we could have wished for. We had booked into the Misty Waves for 8 days, we arrived the first night and my 11 year old son had a camp bed with no matress! We politely asked for one, but the staff were nothing but rude. The decor is very dated and fussy, the breakfast looked as if it had been sitting there for a week!!... more

We had a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and extremely help full. The accommodation was tops and breakfast extremely well prepared. The restaurant has the most romantic feeling and one could get lost in time once you step into the venue. The hotel is truly a lovely place and it was well worth a visit. The prices are good... more

Staying at Misty Waves was a big mistake. Although, Hermanus was beautiful our trip was ruined by this Boutique Hotel. The service was terrible and actually down right rude. The staff's unfriendliness and unhelpfulness became understandable once meeting the manager, Clinton Lerm.
