This was to be the last summer trip our family would take for the year. It was a trip to Allentown's Dorney Park for my wife's company picnic. I was looking for a decent hotel with a good rate that was close to the park. We had stayed at Quality Inn's in the past and had fairly good experiences with... more
I checked in June 15, 2008 at 4:30pm and went to eat. I returned at 6:30pm to find that two backpacks (one including a laptop) was stolen. When I reported the incident to the management, it seemed like it was not their concern (hmm, wonder why? Possibly an insider job maybe??). I was told they checked the hallway surveillance tapes... more
We were placed in an older room that needed updating including major work in the bathroom where there appeared to be mold in the walls above the shower. Basic amenities were there, but room smelled stale the minute we walked in, and windows don't open. By the second day it was better, once we had the A/C running for awhile,... more
This hotel fairly easy to find from Rt 22, 15th St exit. Look up at the tree line on the right and you will see the Quality Inn sign. I arrived an hour before check in, but the very nice woman at the desk let me check in early. There are no restaurants around that I could see, but there... more
We were only there for one night but had a great experience. Room was very clean, no smells. Bed was comfortable. It was fairly quiet overnight. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was not great but typical of a free continental breakfast. Staff was very friendly. We'll probably go again. more
Party consisted of two adults (parents) and two children, ages 8 and nearly 2. Stayed here on our way back home from the beach and planned on going to Dorney Park the next day, to which it was about 10 mins away. Hotel offered very little amenities - no pool, workout room that was only open from 6-10am. Room was... more
Outdated, smelly, dirty, stinky rooms. Cutains were stained, carpets were stained, bathroom was terrible. They had to put a "lemon freshner" in the A/C to try and mask the stink in the room. Cob webs in the corners of the ceiling. The elevator is on it's last leg. I complained to the management and they told me that each hotel... more
It wasnt the worst hotel I've stayed at, but close. It's a very old building, where the hotels reak of smoke and spilled food. The room is very outdated, the only new thing in it was the "fake ceiling" to cover up the mold in the bathroom. The bed was rock solid and the sheets were old as well. I... more
Initially I would have rated this place ok although our non-smoking room reeked of smoke and had a generally dirty feel. But several days after getting home myself and my entire family found ourselves with red itchy bumps that appeared to be bites of some kind. Turned out we all contracted a skin parasite called scabies and I am 99.99%... more
