There were one or two good points about this hotel. Our room was large with two balconies overlooking the sea. We had an in-room safe and a fridge that was re-stocked each day with soft drinks and bottled water. Everything else was dire and this has to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed at anywhere in the world.... more

Do not stay at this hotel if you are looking for a peacful and relaxing break - it is endless noise. Noise starts with very loud pop music at breakfast - not needed at 0700 hours. animation around pools consist of loud music all day and continues with disco in the beach bar until midnight- you will not be able... more

I stay there for 11 days, so my opinion is that egypt is country of neverending posibilities. Like in this hotel. Room was ok, no extra problem, nice view to pool. Staff was friendly until you need something to do, after that it was problem, or it takes too long. Breakfast was good, the rest of all-in was average. Animation... more

The hotel exceeded our exceptions as we had not had any prior knowledge of this hotel. We took the agents recommendation over the phone and were surprised at the size and quality. would definatley go back to this hotel again. we booked two double rooms and were offered a suite which was excellent. plenty of choice in the restaurant at... more

I booked our trip with a Polish agency, but am an American who lives in Poland. There were 5 of us Americans at this hotel at this time. I guess it is all about expectations. I thought it was great. My sister and I with her daughter and my two daughters. We said to each other, "This must be the... more

Reading the reviews posted last year left us really apprehensive but it was actually very good. There is an all inclusive meal charge of USD15/head/day which is expensive by Egyptian standards - but food is available about 22 hours/day and it is of a high standard with wide choice - mainly buffet style. The price includes drinks. We were a... more

Just returned from a week here. This hotel is dominated by Russians (80%) closely followed by Germans, we were only 2 of 4 British in the hotel for the first 4 days. The food was ok, breakfast was a bit of a scrum but dinner was better if you went to the Italian, the staff were great - especially if... more

My husband and I have just returned from the Grand Azur hotel in Hurghada, what a dreadful place. There was a distinct lack of British to be found anywhere, not that this is normally anything to worry about. The hotel was run with the Russians in mind and no thoughts were given to any other Nationality. On booking in we... more

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Azur Horizon for one week. When our shuttle drove up to the gates, we were really impressed. It wasn't until we got into our room that we realized all the money is spent on the exterior of the hotel. The room was huge, but the construction was like putting a band-aid over... more
