Fully agree with the previous reviewer's comments. The spanish theme just seems, well, incongruous. Especially the costumes worn in the lobby (the "matadors" with pink socks especially). The pictures and symbols of bulls literally everywhere was also sometimes a bit too much. All that aside, the hotel is a very fine one. I have to say that this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff are very friendly, always looking to help and with a genuine smile. I do have to say I'm baffled by the Spanish theme however. And whoever thought the bellboys had to dress as Matadors in Orange vests and Pink socks I believe... more

Initially plan to book Crowne Plaza as it is right next to Happy Valley Theme Park. But accidentally came across inter con and decided to try it as it was brand new and has a man made beach. New hotel, we where there in May, when it was still in soft opening mode. Upgrade to a two room suite, very nice, but you need to get used to the color combinations in the room. Big rooms, nice pool, great Breakfast. So far the best hotel in Shenzhen. more
