I stayed for three nights in one of the luxury tents and came away a believer in CC Africa. They are running a fine ship. Staff are very well trained and the food and accomodations are top-rate. The bed in my tent was unbelievably comfortable. I was there in August, so it got a bit chilly at night. A butler... more

We stayed at Kichwa Tembo at the end of our Kuoni safari which included the great rift valley and samburu national park. I am so glad we did this last as it knocked the socks off all the others! The light aircraft flight from Wilson airport was bumpy! I would suggest you take travel sickness tablets if you are like... more

Just returned from a 4 day 3 night stay at Kichwa Tembo and had a truly amazing experience. This camp and its wonderful staff know how to spoil their guests! The tent was very clean & comfortable, huge bed (hot H20 bottles at night), very comfy pillows & loads of hot water in the well equipped bathroom. Even the toiletries... more

And that says it all really. From the moment we arrived to the good bye we received our three days at the "tented Camp" were fantastic. Our guide, Daniel was excellent and managed to show us "everything" except the elusive Rhino and the jeeps they use look by far the best. Daniel even organised a picnic on the second day... more

We were there for 2 nights and that was simply not enough. The tents were luxurious, and certainly the highlight of our trip. This was an add on to our itinerary and we certainly did not regret our choice to upgrade! Morning call was a special knock on your tent, accompanied with a tumbler of coffee, tea or hot chocolate... more

My wife and I stayed in this "tented camp" while on a birding/wildlife trip in November, 2007, just before the election disaster. The accommodations were really fun and excellent. The space in the tent was really huge....bigger than many hotel rooms I've stayed in. There are (dull) electric lights and the bathroom was spacious, with hot water shower, sink, etc.... more

Kichwa Tembo Tented Lodge. Our first sight of The Mara was from the air. Even through a little heat haze the magic of the Mara was apparent. We were greeted at the grass airstrip by Wesley who was to be our Kichwa Tempo guide and companion. Straight into a game drive from the airport and we were not disappointed. Eventually... more

A simply perfect stay. My partner and I, together with other family, were staying on Diani Beach, Kenya, when we purposefully researched and sourced local safari tour operators. This way we knew we would get the best deal rather than going through the in-house representative. Thankfully, as it happened, we found a nearby business called JT Safaris, owned and run... more

After more than 24 years when we spent our honeymoon at the camp we returned to find it even better now while still retaining it's old charm of wilderness. The comfort in the tents has been improved since, especially the bathroom/shower part and a new swimming has been added. Food quality was still outstanding and staff very friendly. New open Landrovers... more
