Poor house keeping dirty bed sheets fitted. No hot drinks in room. We had no electric supply in the night on two nights. Safe in room broke. The hotel is beautiful and the location lovely. However, since the alcohol ban the restaurants have been deserted and some have closed. This was a nice stay only for 3 days. Not so many dining options though. I was surprised. Rooms on the small side and the balcony freaked me out as I didn't feel comfortable sitting out on that ledge/slab of concrete jutting out so high up! But great view of the Nile. Stayed on the 14 and 15th May and again on the 23rd May, first stay was excellent and was upgraded to a suite, second stay a couple of problems with the air con and noise from a function at the hotel across the Nile - however the room changes were dealt with efficiently and with positive attitude at all times... more
