My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Monticello in Georgetown for 5 nights in mid-March (our first vacation away without children). We loved it. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in and they rushed to get us right into a spacious suite. Later, when we realized that our room overlooked a... more

We stayed here 3 nights over Thanksgiving week. Our room was spacious, very clean, with a comfortable bed. They offered a simple continental breakfast every morning in the lobby. Staff was eager to please and professional. Even though our room was next to the elevator, we experienced minimal noise from there because the building is well-insulated. We most definitely will... more

Our one night stay at this marvelous hotel was the best my wife and I have enjoyed in quite some time. The hotel is well put together. I have to personally commend the bellman/engineer as he was ready and available at our beckon call. He went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable as well as enjoyable.... more

then you'll love the Monticello right now. Staying in room 204, I woke up on morning 1 of a 4 night stay thinking there were people actually IN my room, their voices were so loud. Upon fully regaining consciousness I realized this was just Pablo, Feliz, Manolo and others (no kidding . . . you listen to people basically in... more

My family and I stayed at this property 8/30/07 thru 9/3/07. We booked 2 rooms. I found the staff to be very professional and friendly. The rooms were well appointed, with nice Hermes amenities. The beds comfortable. The bellman went beyond his duties and helped me parallel park our oversized F150 pick-up. Check in and out was very quick. The... more

The hotel is unprofessionally run. The staff is rude. Few amenities for the price. No high-speed internet as advertised. The valet damaged our car when attempting to pull it up from their very small garage. The front passenger side was gauged causing $1600 of body repair. My wife and I communicated with the head manager who refused to admit fault... more

The room exceeds even the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, CA. The room service and courtesy exceeds most 5-star hotels I've been into. Internet comes free inside the room. Excellent location, a few steps away from posh and trendy M Street in Georgetown. more

Had reservations to stay at the Monticello this past weekend. Called the day before to confirm and to be sure that late check-in (after 11pm) would be ok, and were assured that would be fine. When we arrived at midnight, we were told that it would take a few minutes to get the room ready, so we could bring our... more

My family and I spent 4 nights at the hotel. The location was great, but the staff was rude. I overheard the bellman and desk clerk laughing about some other guests before they noticed me. Also, an expensive bottle of my wife's perfume was stolen, likely from the bellman when he initially brought our luggage up and I parked the... more

I called twice to book room and specifically asked about parking. They said they had a covered garage and you can come and go as you like for 30 bucks a day. The morning after we checked in they were miffed that I wanted to take my truck out of the garage- garage is small and my truck is a... more
