After a driving down to the beginning of the Great Ocean Road, we were delighted to come across Lorne - what a beautiful spot! We decided to stay here our first night, and ended up staying three nights, after discovering the magnificent bushland 10 minutes from the beach. The Motel was fine - everything you'd expect from a value-for -money... more

Before we stayed in Melbourne we decided to do the great ocean road first, we chose this hotel due to the location and views. When we arrived we realised that the 90% of the hotel was occupied by teenagers from schoolies week, therefor we weren't too pleased that we were not told about this beforehand. The receptionist did his best... more

I'm not normally motivated to post reviews but.....After a long day of travelling from Cairns due to cancelled flights, we arrived at the Comfort Inn at 8pm (not exactly the middle of the night). We had phoned ahead to say we would be late, however when we rang the bell we were welcomed with a frankly abusive response from the... more

The 'ogre' ( March 24th) was in fact a relieving manager whilst the managers were having a well earned break. We apologise sincerely and can assure you that the 'ogre' is back in her cave and will not be appearing here again!!!!

We stayed 1 night on our Ocean Road drive. The hotel has good size rooms. We had a spa bath but it was quite small. The room was a good size and the bathroom OK. One of the better Comfort Inns I have stayed in. The big windows have blinds which are absolutely necessary otherwise anyone can see everyhting in... more

Stayed in this property for 1 night as a stopover on our trip along the Great Ocean road to Warrnambool. We were upgraded to a deluxe room with spa bath so did not get to see the standard rooms. Our room was upmarket motel style accommodation-sparsely but tastefully decorated, good size, balcony, very clean, comfortable bed, big bathroom. There was a small... more

Within two minutes walk of town, easy to find from the Ocean Road. Basic decor, but large room with good cooking and bathroom facilities. Helpful staff, gave me maps and tips on where to see koalas in the wild. Car parking available. No views of the sea unless in premier rooms (at extra cost). more

My partner and I stayed in a deluxe room with double spa over the Easter break (2 nights). The room was a little expensive ($230 a night, although all accommodation on the Great Ocean Road is expensive over Easter) but the spa bath was fantastic after a day's walking. The room also featured a small kitchenette which was handy. The... more

I stayed at the Comfort Inn at Lorne with my fiance in November for 4 nights. The hotel is right near the beach and shops and the room was very spacious with a seperate kitchen. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The only problem we had was with the shower on our last night. It wouldn't work... more

Excellent rooms that were freshly decorated with new furniture. Facilities were also very good. Staff were exceptionally pleasant. Easy walking distance to shops and beach. Be careful if driving from the West (Great Ocean Road/Apollo Bay) as the road has lots of bends/curves, and timewise, takes twice as long as the normal roads. more

A comfortable stay and excellent value. We were expecting a room, but it was more like an apartment with a huge bedroom/dining/lounge area, plus a separate kitchen - very spacious and clean. The Bathroom was huge with a separate spa bath and shower. Our only critisim is that the decor was a bit dated. The staff were very friendly and... more
