I had stayed there some time ago and had no desire to go back again, but found the place had had a big facelift this time round (room was $150AUS). My wife and I (both over 70) booked in for 3 nights, found the beds were clean but the rest of the room was unclean, shower had mould on the walls had to clean toilet seat before before we could use it, cups had brown rings around the inside. We went out to KFC to get something for our dinner... more

We stayed here knowing it might be a bit grungy, but Frommer's said it was cheap, clean and they'd totally recommend it. What were they thinking?? We were given a free upgrade to some nasty pit rooms - I shudder to think if we'd not been upgraded. Dirty, small, and the balconies totally gross - ours had a pigeaon nest... more

Thank you for voicing your concerns, I apologise that your stay here was not a satisfying one. I am a little confused about your reference to the ‘pit rooms’, as one of the features we are renowned for are the great views from the 9th, 10th and 11th floors – all of which have the private balconies you refer to....

Had a great time at this motel. Good clean rooms with upper floors having spectacular views from your own balcony. Hosts were friendly and gave good advice and local information. Great beach only a minute's stroll. Revolving restaurant sat on top of the motel and had great seafood. Would go there again..motel and restaurant. more
