Good position, next to harbour. Parking could be an issue so try to book place in hotel garage. Rooms comfortable and clean. Hotel breakfast good plus plenty of eating stops in town. Great stop for one night on a long journey. more

I booked two nights via the Rydges website and got a great rate for a room overlooking the river with a nice big balcony during school holidays. Just returned from a short break in Port Macquarie and Hunter Valley. Rydges in Port Macquarie was nice. The Hotel was not on the same high standard as the Crowne in the Hunter being older and not finished to the same quality but it still has many fine features. We stayed in the two bedroom appartments. We stayed one night in a Deluxe Room; The hotel is generally of a high standard. The room was spacious and the bathroom too. We took a swim in the inviting swimming pool with a view of the sea. The town itself seemed relativelly sleepy and so did the hotel. more
