The location was great - minutes from the shops/restaurants and the beach. Our family of 4 stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment which was very comfortable and well furnished and equipped. As we were on the 2nd floor, though it was a little noisy at times from traffic and very rowdy pedestrians, we didn't mind it too much. The pools were... more

My boyfriend and I recently returned from a 7 night stay at the Hibiscus Resort. Port Douglas is an absolutely beautiful, relaxing place for a holiday and Hibiscus Resort was the perfect place for us to stay. I spent many nights on the internet researching places to stay (there seems to be thousands!) and finally decided on the Hibiscus after... more

We spent 8 days here and were hoping for a resort style vacation. Unfortunately having been to Bali this place didn't really compare well. It is extremely convenient to both the town and the beach but with that convenience you get noise. The 'resort' is on the corner of two quite busy roads which meant there was a good deal... more

This is my second stay here. I once was here 4 years earlier with my parents and we had a 2 bedroom apartment with a great view! Four years later and it's still the same. Great location in Port Douglas and an easy walk to the shops and restaurants! This recent stay was in a studio unit and unfortunately, everything... more

Before booking hotels in Port Douglas I did the sensible thing and searched the web and came across this hotel, my travel agent had never heard of it but booked it for us at a reasonable price. It was terrific with large well equipped rooms, including a hot tub in the room. The setting though was wonderful with wooden buildings,... more

Our confirmed reservation at a Daintree B&B - for this portion of our honeymoon - got lost by that B&B somehow, and we miraculously ended up here! Owner took care of us - after being given Mantra Treetops as the place to stay! - w. a wonderful welcome, champagne and friendly service. The vibe is great, the rooms are spacious... more

This is a delightful place if you're after something with a bit of character. Set up like a balinese style resort with great attention to detail. Pretty pool area albeit small surrounded by flowers, palms and stone statues giving it a real bali flavour. The rooms were great, good size with separate lounge area and private balcony. Good bathroom although... more

We stayed at the Hibsicus Gardens for 9 nights as part of our honeymoon. What we found was a wonderful tropical paradise and very peaceful - perfect for honeymooners!. The room was a bit dark, but very clean and modern, with a small private balcony surrounded by trees. The whole hotel is extremely well kept, the breakfasts were very nice... more

I spent my birthday weekend in Port Douglas and stayed at the Hibiscus Gardens Spa Resort for 4 days in June. Apartment was clean and just very homey feel. We got a two bedroom apartment and it was so spacious. It included 2 bathrooms and one kitchen and tv in each room. Had really noisy neighbours as they had music... more
