we found the best place to eat was the combined services club in Port Douglas. Really good food at a reasonable price. it looks like a tin hut from the outside, but don't be put off. when you get inside there is a rear terrace overlooking the water. really nice astmosphere. we stayed in Bay Villa Resort which was Great.... more

The accomodation was excellent - a more than ample sized fully self contained apartment. You are provided with a starter pack and given lots of really useful information by the receptionist. You get free internet access and free laundry, which was a nice surprise. The villas are about a 10 minute walk from the beach and from the main street... more

We were really pleased with this accommodation. A short walk into town, peaceful in the evenings, clean, comfortable and value for money. We found the Bay Villas Resort in Port Douglas an excellent place to stay. It was reasonably priced (compared to a lot of places in Port Douglas) and in a good location.
