I had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Brisbane for 5 nights last year. I didnt get the chance to stay on a club floor and the view wasnt fabulous however I wasnt in the room for the view. Bed was extremely comfortable. Check in and out was a breeze and the concierge desk was one of the best... more

I last stayed here nearly 3 years ago and was aware the hotel was having a face lift in its lobby.....what a difference it has made. I loved the new cocktail bar with live music (very cool Acid Jazz) and the best Espresso Martini I have ever had. The room I had was on the corner of their Club Floor... more

Note: I am a c5 tetraplegic with c6/c7 functionality. I use a manual wheelchair. My reviews are made from this perspective and are intended to be more relevant for disabled travellers. If you’ve been to the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart then the Brisbane Sofitel will seem familiar. Both were built as Sheratons in the 1980s and are quite similar... more

Booked this through Wotif for romantic weekend away. Great location directly above central station in the city, beautiful foyer, room a bit small, king size bed, bathroom small also and as one reader said, outdated, and a bit tatty, bathroom needs refurbishment. We had the seafood buffet for dinner, and free breakfast which was fantastic food. No complaint there, quick... more

I stayed here for one night on a trip for work. Check in was very quick and I was upgraded to a Club room on the 26th floor. I was amazed at all the bathroom extras at the Sofitel. Lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, even a loofah mitt and comb! There were two bathrobes hanging in the wardrobe and complimentary shoe... more

The service was good and the overall ambience of the hotel was great. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, it felt classy. The room was very nice and pool was pretty good too. more

This hotel is quite nice ... on the outside and my parents always taught me not to judge a book by its cover. How true is this statement for this over priced very average hotel. I travel quite a bit for business and usually stay at 5 star hotels where the rooms are of decent size and the quality of... more

This was the first time we used a travel agent to book a hotel, and it was not really to our taste -- clean, but seemed pretentious. This was also the first time I have ever been charged for something by a hotel that I didn't even use. After we got home, we got a letter stating they had charged... more

We have stayed in many 5 Star hotels through out the world and this is the first time we have felt compelled to write a review. This Hotel was fantastic....we stayed in the Club Level where the breakfast was devine and the evening drinks had really good wines and wonderful nibbles. The service was outstanding and a real credit to... more
