We are a family of 5 and wanted accomododation in the heart of Brisbane city for 5 nights in the school holidays. I chose the Royal Albert Hotel for it's location more than anything and I had read on other reviews that the apartments were large and very central. We had the 2 bedroom sub-penthouse at $300 per night. It... more

We phoned directly and were told they had no vacancies so went on line for a cheap deal and found two rooms for the period we wanted. Obviously some one did not want to take the booking. The staff were pleasent on arrival and helped if asked a question. Great location in the centre of Brisbane with parking costing $12... more

I stayed at the Royal Albert with 15 friends for two nights during the Ashes cricket in November. The rooms were huge, although the furniture was a little dated. We had two sub penthouse apartments and two two bedroom suites. The staff at the front desk were helpful, especially the young girl on the nightshift who advised us on local... more

I found our 1 bedroom apartment quite comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. My complaint: the sofa bed was broken and we were not advised on booking into the the hotel. It was 1 o'clock in the morning and asking the reception for a replacement at that time of the morning would be out of the question. When... more

Spent one night here mid-August 2005. Choose the hotel for it's location (which was great) - central to everything, and it's value - which was also great (US$104 thrugh Expedia. A handsome building from the outside, lots of polished wood and brass, this place is a through-back to the 1930's. The room was quite clean and well-appointed, but weird. Unnecessarily... more

Large spacious room, comfortable beds, good kitchenette and laundry facilities. Only criticism I could make is that general level of decoration is beginning to look a little old fashioned! Time for a makeover perhaps? But still a very good place to stay. more

Our one-bedroom apartment was spacious and clean, and the location was perfect. We had a sunken living room, our own washer and dryer (no charge to use), and a large marble bathroom. The kitchen had a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and all the dishes we needed. The location is one block from the Queen Street Mall and central to transportation and... more

We stayed in Brisbane for 2 days after driving up and down the coast of Queensland for 10 days. We chose Royal Albert because it was right across the road from a big shopping centre and gave us the chance to pick up a few souvenirs to take home. It was great value for money because it was basically a... more
