Oh how disappointed we were! We filled out a comment card with my e-mail address but we're not totally sure it ever got to management. Anyway, check-in was fine, the receptionist was very polite and helpful. However, when we got into our room it reeked of cheap scented room-spray and although we opened the windows for a couple of hours... more

Promoted as a boutique hotel but the rooms are nothing more than the standard room found in most hotels in this price range. Breakfast was very dissapointing. Not a lot of choice and what was availabe looked rather sad (Continental). more

The Inchcolm is good value for the price. This was our main assessment. It does have some character, for example the old iron lift, but still has the feeling of a fairly average - but nevertheless comfortable - hotel. With a big cash injection, it could become something really special. They offer valet parking (extra cost) which is useful to... more

I just spent two nights at The Inchcolm staying in a one bedroom apartment and also a studio. The location is great if you want to be close to the Valley or CBD, each room is individualised and named after a historical figure in Australian history, and the room facilities are perfectly adequate for a short stay. There is nothing... more

This was our first ever hotel in Australia during our honeymoon. The property oozes atmosphere and we loved the way this former medical building had been changed into a hotel. If you can visualise one of those doctor's waiting rooms (but without a ticking clock or other people coughing) then this is what to expect. Each room has its own... more

The Quality Inchcolm has a lot of character from the old fashioned elevator to the individuality of each room. It's also well located in the City Centre and walking distance to the river. We especially liked that it was only 15 minutes from the airport and the front desk staff is very helpful--- booking our restaurant and getting our taxi.... more

As with other reviewers, we found this boutique hotel to be a wonderful place to stay. Affordable, good food in the restaurant. Central location - IF you can find the place. We were in a car and drove all around before our friends in town gave us a hand finding it. Even on foot you could easily miss it in... more

Wickham Terrace in Brisbane is a street close to the CBD famed for being the accomodation of specialist medical doctors, dentists and so on. The Inchcolm was occupied by doctors for seventy years until snapped up for conversion to a hotel, using as much of the old layout and fittings as possible. Each room or suite is individually fitted and... more
