I booked a Deluxe Spa Room through the wotif.com website a couple of weeks out, and cancelled the booking I made direct with the hotel, as the hotel starts dropping prices around that time. The extra cost of the Spa room is definitely worth it, nothing better then relaxing with an amazing view following a long walk. The room is... more

We stayed at Kings Canyon for just 1 night on our way from Ayors Rock back to Alice Springs. The resort is ok. We booked a deluxe sparoom. The room was clean and the view was quite nice. Kings Canyon is nice to visit but not that great if you already see more canyons. more

My husband and me stayed for only one night because I read the Fodor's description which was not overly positive. Having stayed there for one night I did regret that we had no time to stay a second one. The standard room (booked via the internet was A$ 142) had just been renovated and I found it pleasant, clean and... more

The only hotel in Kings Canyon i think! Its a little resort in the middle of nowhere but just a short drive from the Canyon its self. Petrol station / shop / restaurant / cafe all on site so its got everything you need. Very nice for a night or 2, which is all you would probably want there anyway. more

Well Kings Canyon Resort is the only place to stay when visiting the area, however thankfully the resort proved to be well worth the time. We booked a "deluxe room" through the resort website for $190 a night which is only about $50 more expensive than a standard room but has an in room spa which allows great views of... more

Visiting Kings Canyon is well worth the drive; 3 hours from Uluru, 4 from Alice! With that degree of isolation the resort is amazingly comfortable - where do they get the staff? Quick check-in, clean modern room. Resort is sensitively integrated with environment, outlook straight onto desert with dingos prowling (and howling at night). Only there for one night and... more

I feel a bit mean saying it was average - they are stuck in the middle no-where. Alice Springs is over 4 hours away. It must be more than 14 hours to Darwin and fresh produce. This is also a real desert - and that is the attraction. We stayed in a delux spa room - lovely view of the... more

This was so much better than our experience at Uluru's Sails in the Desert. Even though it was just as pricey, it was well worth it. We had the spa room which allowed us to sit in the jacuzzi and stare out at the stars and wildlife at night. When you first arrive, you think it's going to be very... more

We first stayed at the Resort hotel 15 years ago (1993)... not long after it opened. The cleanliness and quality of the rooms, restaurant and facilities are still as good now as they were back then. The addition of the pool and the Ernst Giles Bar has just added to the Resort experience. We booked two adjoining rooms - one... more

It's over priced! for the cheapest room. Tiny room for 100€/night no confort, no bathroom, no restaurant choice ... It's the only hotel in King' Canyon this is a shame :( The national park is very nice but not a good souvenir of this hotel. more
