My husband and I stayed in this hotel between Christmas and New Year 2005. Our room was very compact - the wardrobe housed everything including the kitchen sink: tv, stereo, kettle, microwave, iron, ironing board and even some room for our clothes. Looks great on the web, fantastic pictures. Not so good in real life. We stayed in the Grand Room. Furniture was slightly damaged, TV set was old with faulty sound, cubicle bathroom was small, cold and the toilet was dirty. Kitchenette had full garbage bin, no coffee of any description nor Lindt chocolates (both promised in the advertising). Street noise... more

The Medusa is a boutque hotel in Darlinghurst Road. An converted Vcitoria terrace, it oozes character - but without the grunge! Designer decor makes all the difference.
