It's a good hotel, located in the very centre of the city, near Leiden Square and close to the tram stop (1-2-5) that takes you in few minutes to central station. It is rare to find good Amsterdam lodging that is also affordable. That makes the Downtown Hotel a rare find. Will certainly look to stay here again next time in the city. more

Excellent. Stayed one night. B&B 86euros inc local tax for which you get a very clean room with ensuite shower. Bed was very comfy and it had a flat screen TV. This new budget traveler hotel still has some kinks to work out. Namely how to deal with over bookings and heightened security. There are no safes in the rooms and the lobby does not have CCTV.
