Getting to the Movenpick took a little effort, but was not a problem for me. You can take tram 26 (right in front of Centraal Station) or tram 25 (across the street from the south east corner of Centraal Station). Trams run about every 15 minutes so if you miss one there can be a bit of a wait. Trams... more

The hotel was a short walk from the train station, it does not look anything special from the out side just a tall glass building, but when you walk through the door you are greeted by polite staff who couldn't do enough for us. when we got to our room the pull out bed was not made and we had... more

Great hotel got a good deal 3 nights for the price of 2 with breakfast included. Lovely room on the 19th floor with wonderful views. Very helpful staff who told us to come back if not happy with room. Ate in the restaurant twice and it was top notch with very attentive staff and great food. I would recommend this... more

We stayed here for a three-day break and it was great. Whilst the previous reviews are mainly positive, there are some comments about the distance and also the apparant "'lack of toilets'' on ground floor near to the bar. The toilets were actually located next to the hotel reception on the ground floor!!!! Firstly, the hotel excelled in the usual... more

My wife and I stayed here over Easter weekend, as Amsterdam was the only place we could think of in Europe that would still have most stores and attractions open over the holidays. We booked the hotel on Priceline about a month in advance, using [--] to give us an idea of what price we could get. At 85 Euros... more

I stayed at the Movenpick for 4 nights in March 2008. I had a room made for 2 (two twin beds pushed together) but it is perfect for 1 person. There was a closet but no place to truly store your clothing. Loved the super modern bathroom which was a good size. The bed was a little stiff and hard,... more

Hotel close to Central Station. Rooms clean and well kept. Large and comfortable bed good size room. Bathroom large with large shower. Views from upper floor rooms gives a great panorama of the city. Breakfast was a good hot and cold buffet. Travel from airport by train was quick cheap and efficient. Trams easy to use and tram 25 &... more

Stayed at the Movenpick for 2 nights, and was a lovely stay. Hotel is very modern, had a junior executive sweet which was great view over river. Hotel is a 10 minute walk to Centraal station, or quick tram ride, with tram stop right outside hotel Very friendly staff, Silk restaurant was lovely, tasty food and nice decor. more

I spent a long week-end in Amsterdam staying in this Hotel. It was my fault not to have checked before that the hotel was a 100% NO SMOKING structure and clients themselves could be fined of 150 euros if smoking, even inside their own rooms. That fact, even if didn'nt affect me, as I am a no-smoker, drove my wife... more

Stayed in this hotel last week of January 08. All in all it was a enjoyable stay. Few pointers - Atmosphere - This hotel it appeared to me is geared for business clients, for which it caters very well, with free WiFi, excellent conference facilities and a business centre. That said it lacks atmosphere, there was no life in either... more
