If you are looking for a great hotel in Venice- this is it. We arrived to the hotel via water taxi, right up to the hotels front. Which as we saw is not the luxury that all travelers have staying at other hotels that are not on the canal, some of the hotels can be quite a walk - especially... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in late April, 2008. At about $500 USD per night, it was the splurge of our 2 weeks in Italy. Taking the train into Venice, we only had about 1.5 days to work with, so the last thing I wanted to do was spend a lot of time figuring out the water bus system,... more

There are excellent reasons to stay at the Foscari Palace, but if you value elbow room, you may want to spring for the costlier rooms. A great advantage is the location, a short walk from the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's but a bit removed from the worst of the tourist mob scene. As a result, you get a real... more

Stayed in Room 209, the Gonzaga Junior Suite, as recommended by Medwyn, for six nights and were not disappointed. The room is huge, at least 30 feet long, with fantastic views over the Grand Canal. Comfortable beds and a sparkling clean marble bathroom. Two washbasins, but the plug lever of one of them was missing and the other had only... more

My husband and I stayed at the Foscari Palace in our first trip to Venice and we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect, really close to the Ca' de Oro station. Many little shops and restaurants are around the area. The room that we got was a little small to US standards, but super clean and well equipped. The... more

Stayed at the Foscari Palace for 3 nights in April 2008. Took the water taxi from the airport directly to front door of hotel. The hotel is beautiful and located right on the Grand Canal. We booked the suite it was well worth the money. The room was huge, largest I've stayed in in Europe. Soaring ceilings, marble floors, huge... more

We went to Venice to celebrate my partners birthday, we were greeted with sparkling wine and some very tasty bite size snacks. We had seen some reviews saying that the airconditioning was not turn on until summer, this turned out not to be the case. The staff were very helpful, although we had a bad experience with one of the... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights at the end of March 08. The hotel is very good. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and about 10 minutes to the Rialto bridge and St Marks Square. We stayed in a junior suite which had a sitting area with TV and a terrace area with... more

Had chose this hotel based on the many positive reviews on Tripadvisor.com. Frankly, I must say this, that my mum and I were more than pleased. Other than the two or three hotels closer to the train station with Grand Canal views (slightly cheaper rooms but with less than shinny reviews), this hotel at the Ca d'Oro stop represents real... more
