Stayed for three nights at Cassanova with another couple. On the positive side, the B&B is located on the Lido - just a 15 min boat ride away from St. Mark's Square on the vaparetto. We also enjoyed using the B&B's free bicycles to take a long ride on the Lido one morning. There is also an excellent restaurant nearby... more

We stayed four nights in Villa Casanova. The room was not very large, but clean with typical furniture. The hotel is located in a silent street, we loved it after staying in Venice with its crowds of tourists. Nevertheless you are in Venice in a few minutes, the "Vaporetto" is a stone's throw away from Villa Casanova. The yummy beakfast... more

First off, we missed our flight from London to Venice. So we were a lot later than expected. But Alessandro actually had someone wait for us until we got there (11pm!). The room we stayed in was very unique and we loved it. Me and my friend stayed at 4 different B&B's all together on our trip throughout Italy and... more

We booked the Villa Casanova after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. We weren't disappointed. We stayed for 5 wonderful nights at the villa. We booked a romantic room with four poster bed, and a double superior room. We cannot fault the bedrooms at all. They were spacious and clean, and the shower in the bathroom provided instant hot water.... more

We have just returned from 3 days in Venice. 6 adults and 2 children to celebrate a 25th Wedding Anniversary. We have stayed on Venice Lido before and were a little dissapointed when our usual hotel was unable to offer us two triple rooms and a double. We were able to book the rooms we needed at the Villa Casanova... more

Lido (Italian for Beach) is an island about a 12 minute vaparetto ride from St. Marks square. The vaparetto leaves every 5 minutes. I got to tell you, it was nice getting away from all the tourists at the end of the day. And what a pretty way to approach Venice. Buy a day or multi-day pass and ride the... more

We picked to stay on the Lido for a couple of reasons but the main reason was the cost. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made. Whilst the main part of Venice has all the sights and sounds [and smells], the hotels are expensive and quite cramped. Staying on the Lido at this hotel... more

We booked a hotel on the Lido as it seemed a bit cheaper, but it is also a lovely place to stay. It has the feel of a modern beach resort, which contrasts pleasantly with the old city. The water buses are super efficient and very frequent, and only a short walk away. The property is a spacious villa down... more

We stayed at this hotel in june & havin just read some of the reviews about the casanova just felt it necessary to add my opinion about it. We have travelled far & wide including a cruise on the QE2 & believe me the room we had in the casanova was far more superior than that on board ship. Why... more

This homey, welcoming hotel is hosted by gracious, helpful and at the same time unassuming proprietors. It was a welcome respite from being in the middle of the hustle and bustle of San Marco Piazza. Therefore, we could refresh, relax, take a short, pleasant walk to the water bus and be back and involved in a few short minutes in... more
