This was my first time on the Island of Lido, and while I was taken with the Island itself, I was underwhelmed with the Hotel Villa Cipro. The location is great - just off a main Boardwalk - and it looks great from the outside. The inside, however, was rather shabby-looking. We got there in late spring, but the heat... more

We went during the off-season, and it was a very good experience. Don't expect luxury (the shower door was broken but useable, the hairdryer was broken but I fixed it with tape), but, if you are looking for comfort, you will find it here. The breakfast was huge and it was so much fun going back and forth on the... more

Well, this is a great place to stay if you want to go to venice..... We found that living on the lido was the best best thing to do as it gives you a great overview of the heart of the beautiful venice. Its cheaper, quieter, and once you get on that vaporetti across the lagoon you have a great... more

My family of six took 2 rooms in Villa Cipro in July. My husband and I had a standard double and our 4 children shared a quad room. We stayed 4 nights. The hotel was immaculately clean and extremely convenient for shopping , going to the beach and taking a ferry to Venice. It had a lovely balcony at the... more

We stayed at Venice for the first time, and found that we had picked the right hotel at the right spot! After a long, hot and busy day in Venice centre, it is very nice to go 'home' to Venice Lido (only 8 minutes by vaporetto waterbus). The hotel was nice (nice building, quiet, in a green street, but still... more

We stayed in Lido, Venice for a weekend in mid May 07. Our hotel was Hotel Villa Cipro in Lido. We had a bad experience and we want to share it with others and warn future travellers to Venice hotels. Our room air condition never worked despite the hotel reception informing us that it does. On our second night, we... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Villa Cipro for 2 nights in Feb., 2007. Hotel was diappointing. Nothing to recommend it. A bit shabby, very small room, poor service. Location on Lido, close to Vaparetto to San Marco is only good thing more

Dates of stay : Nov 4th - 7th, 2006(3 nights) End of the 7 - 8 week trip thru France and Italy. We selected the Hotel Cipro on Lido Island as we had heard Lido was a nice place to stay away from the tourists of Venice and it was easy to catch the water ferry to anywhere. Only issue... more

Charming building and good location for main restaurants and beach of lido. Greeted by very friendly staff. The room was absolutely minute, the bathroom and shower cubicle so small I couldn't turn round in it and I'm only 5'2! In general the room was fairly shabby. Our hairdryer had been ripped from the bathroom wall leaving a gaping hole when... more

My family and I stayed in Venice at this hotel after a harrowing 2 days of travel. We were welcomed warmly by the man at the front desk even though it was after 12am. It was clean and in a lovely spot. The breakfast was wonderful and b/c of the hospitality of the people who worked there we had a... more
