This was our first time to venice and we were concerned about staying on Lido opposed to central Venice. The moment we arrived on Lido and at the Hotel we knew that we had made the right choice. The island and hotel are lovely. The hotel is maybe a 5 min walk to the vaporetto station and then 10-15 min... more

Stayed for 4 nights at the Villa Delle Palme in 12/06. The room was fantastic (loved the Venetian textile 'wallpaper') and the service was excellent. Breakfast was nothing to write home about (cold buffet) but adequate nevertheless. The hotel is only a 5 min walk to the Valparetto, which takes around 15 mins to St Marks Square. The weather in... more

Totally enjoyable stay at this lovely hotel. Very convenient situation for Vaporetto piers. Arrived really late by boat from airport and had no trouble finding hotel - 5 mins. walk. Everything very clean, beds comfortable, shower worked fine, no complaints at all. Breakfast was good and everything fresh and well presented. Special compliments to the young lady who serves tea/coffee... more

We travelled to the Big 3: Rome, Venice, Florence, plus a small town in central Italy. Interestingly, we paid the same price at each location: 85 Euros per night. Only in Venice and in the small town did we receive both a private bath and an included breakfast for that price. VIlla Della Palme wins the contest though, as service... more

Great hotel. Near the water taxi dock, about a 5-10 minute walk. Quiet neighborhood, felt safe. About a 20 minute water taxi to main islands. The internet usage was pricey, but you can purchase by the hour. Has an awesome rooftop balcony where you can experience an amazing sunset over Venice! Near shops and cafes. Quaint breakfeast room with free... more

The off-season rate of 85 euros is a steal in expensive Venice. The Lido is a lovely quiet residential area, filled with beautiful mansions, small shops, cafes, and a nice beach. It is well worth the 40 minute vaporetto ride from the railway station, to stay away from the tourist throngs, and it is only 20 minutes on the vaporatto... more

This was a superb hotel, just a short vaperetto ride from the Grand Canal. We arrived in Venice by train. As you descend the steps from the train station, you realise you have arrive somewhere very special. Ahead of you is the Grand Canal with its beautiful palaces and boats. We got the vaperetto to the Lido, takes about 20... more

I stayed at Villa delle Palme with my fiancee shortly after the Carnival. This meant that we got low season rates so I ended up paying 58EUR/night for a double with breakfast. This hotel - especially at this price - was an excellent choice. It is housed in a beautiful turn of the century mansion and has great atmosphere. Our... more

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. The bedroom was beautifully decorated albeit small (as we had expected as we were on a budget) but it did have a nice ensuite bathroom. Everything was wonderfully clean and we found that its location was at an easy distance from the centre of Venice and thankfully very easy to find when... more

We searched the web for hotels and saw this one which looked nice and was vey reasonably priced. I checked existing reviews and they also were very good generally, so I booked it and am delighted that I did. We prefer staying on the Lido as it's quieter and less frenetic than Venice itself and is a lovely place to... more
